Sclerotherapy for thread and spider veins in Derby

Precise injections to fade visible veins. £150 per session.

Sclerotherapy improves the cosmetic appearance of thread and spider veins using a small injection into the vein. The solution causes the vessel to close so blood routes through healthier veins, and the treated vein is gradually reabsorbed and fades from view. It is typically planned in the cooler months because the area needs to be kept out of the sun while it heals.

Results and longevity

Many veins begin to look lighter as healing progresses, with final results typically visible at around 8 to 12 weeks. If further sessions are needed, we will space them appropriately for the best outcome.

Good to know

You will need to wear compression garments after treatment to help the body break down and reabsorb the veins.

Full results usually take 8 to 12 weeks, and several sessions may be needed to reach your goal. I will advise you on simple aftercare and when to avoid sun exposure during recovery.
